Plain-language definitions for the terms used across these docs.
Terms
- Intent
- A signed statement of a desired balance change, filled by solvers instead of broadcast as a transparent transaction.
- Solver
- An off-chain participant that competes to fill your intent at the best price.
- Verifier / settlement layer
- The on-chain contract that validates the signature on an intent and settles the result.
- Confidential account
- Where your private balances and holdings are tracked once you move funds in.
- Funding wallet
- A wallet used only to deposit assets; it does not become your account.
- Session
- The signed proof that you control your account wallet, stored in a session cookie.
- Nonce
- A one-time value used so a captured signature cannot be replayed.
- Slippage / minimum out
- The lowest output you are willing to accept on a swap; the route will not settle below it.
- MEV
- Value extracted by reordering or inserting transactions around yours; private routing reduces your exposure.
- Selective disclosure
- A scoped grant that proves what you choose to an auditor, and which you can revoke.
